Silver White
On Silver White the blue-grey veining drifts in wide feathered bands, sinking into the ground and rising out of it again. From a distance the slab is a single pale silver field. Up close the grey turns into movement. It is the coolest white in the collection, and the coolness is exact: a white with the blue left in it. That is why it keeps its clarity beside grey plaster, pale timber and cold metal. Because the veining is diffuse, the field carries. One slab continues into the next and large expanses stay one cool surface: bathroom walls and floors, shower linings, lift lobbies.
