Salome

Salome is the grey marble of Eskişehir. Plum and garnet run diagonally across a mauve-grey ground, gathering into thick bands in places and thinning to a single thread in others. The trade knows it as Salome Grey. The red behaves here like late afternoon light, so a wall clad in Salome looks lit. Book-matched, the diagonals fold into one long mirrored figure. Salome comes off our own bench in Eskişehir. Because both the quarry face and the factory are ours, a project can be taken from a single bench, matched and cut to order.
