Harmony Grey

Two vein systems run through Harmony Grey. Charcoal and near-black seams pool and thicken, and thin ochre-gold lines trace their own path across the cool grey slab. The tension between them gives the stone a great deal to look at. The gold lines are the reason it gets chosen. They are already the colour of brass, so the stone arrives with the ironmongery half-decided. It appears in bathrooms where the taps were chosen first, on lobby floors and in wall cladding. At two metres it is a warm grey with a faint shimmer. At arm's length the dark seams open into a landscape.
